School Dinners

We would like your child to take the opportunity to eat excellent, healthy meals by receiving school lunches. Our School Cooks prepare a varied menu with balanced, nutritious foods which our pupils enjoy each day.

We are a Healthy Eating School and have certificates and awards for promoting good practice for health and wellbeing.

Ysgol Gymraeg Pwll Coch is a cashless school and all payments and food choices are made online through the ParentPay website. All parents will receive login details and information on how to register for the service when starting school.

Parents are reminded that school meals must be pre-ordered, selected and paid in advance.

Free School Meals

If you think your child is eligible to receive free school meals, then it is essential that you apply to County Hall, Cardiff 02920 872938 or email freeschoolmeals@cardiff.gov.uk

From September 2023, all pupils from Reception Class - Year 4 will be eligible for FREE school meals.

Packed Lunches

If your child chooses to bring sandwiches or a lunchbox to school, we encourage you to ensure the meal is wholesome. We do not allow the children to bring chocolate, a fizzy drink or sweets to school.
